Built for trust in a research community.
This page explains how YMRH thinks about privacy, account data, public research content, and secure access.
Security first
We design account flows around verified access, protected sessions, and careful handling of authentication data.
Clear visibility
Your public research profile may be visible to the community, while sensitive account actions stay protected.
Purposeful data
YMRH uses data to support research discovery, collaboration, profile management, and platform communication.
User control
You can update your profile details, manage account access, and request support for account-related concerns.
Information we collect
We may collect account details such as your name, email, role, institution, country, profile information, research submissions, bookmarks, comments, and messages used inside the platform.
How information is used
Information helps us operate accounts, display researcher profiles, organize research submissions, support collaboration, improve discovery, and send important account emails such as confirmations or password resets.
Privacy-preserving visit measurement
YMRH uses a short-lived first-party identifier to calculate aggregate daily visit counts. It is transformed into a rotating pseudonymous hash before storage, and raw network addresses are not stored in analytics records. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals are respected.
Public research content
Published research, names, institutions, abstracts, keywords, and profile details may be visible to other users or visitors depending on platform settings and the status of each item.
Account security
Passwords are handled through the authentication provider. You should use a strong password, protect your email account, and contact support if you suspect unauthorized access.
Third-party services
YMRH uses service providers for hosting, authentication, database and file storage, error monitoring, analytics, and transactional email. These providers process information only to deliver the services configured by YMRH and under their applicable data-protection terms.
Legal basis and purpose
We process account and platform data to provide the service you request, protect the platform and its users, meet legal obligations, and pursue legitimate interests such as fraud prevention and service improvement. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it through the available settings or by contacting us.
Retention and deletion
Account data is retained while your account is active and for a limited period afterward when needed for security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Published research and moderation records may require a separate retention period. You may request account deletion through the Contact page; we will explain any information that must be retained.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent and ask how a decision affecting your account was made. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
International processing
Service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, YMRH relies on appropriate contractual and technical safeguards for these transfers.
Children and student researchers
YMRH is intended for users who can lawfully create an account in their jurisdiction. Users below the applicable age of digital consent should use the platform only with authorization from a parent, guardian, or institution where required.
Contact
For privacy questions, account concerns, or data requests, contact the YMRH team through the Contact page.
